<p>The erosion machine tool holder comprises a hollow cylinder (1) for holding the tool, attached to a drive shaft having two spherical enalargements. The lower of these can move in a slot in the upper end of the cylinder and the upper one moves in a slots in a sliding frame, this slot being at right-angles to the first. The cylinder has rollers (3) which move in a curved slot in the side of the frame. clamping paltes and pins fix the limits of travel for the moving components. A motorised worm gear rotates a spring-loaded eccentric wheel which in turn imparts an eccentric movement to the drive pin. The tool holder as a result, describes an ellipse whose axes are adjustable.</p> |
