<p>1457653 Automatic control I MIYAKITA 10 April 1974 [4 Oct 1973 31 Dec 1973] 15886/74 Heading G3N The speed of a rotary cutter driven by an electrohydraulic pulse motor is synchronized with the feedrate of a sheet material at a cutting position by applying all the pulses of a pulse train to the motor and the total number of pulses in the pulse train is decreased depending on the cutting length of the sheet material. As shown, cutter 1', 2' mounted on rotary members 1, 2 are driven through gearing 4, 6, 6' by an electro-hydraulic pulse motor in response to a pulse train from a device 8 driven by the material to be cut. The pulse train is modified by a control circuit 50 so that the cutters are synchronized with the material over a zone about the cutting position and decelerated and accelerated outside this zone in dependence on the length of material to be cut.</p> |
