PURPOSE:To provide a modified mordenite having excellent heat resistance. CONSTITUTION:The obtd. modified mordenite has <=2 Miller indices h, k and l of first crystal faces having >=4.0Angstrom lattice plane distance (2theta<=22 deg.), namely, (110) face, (020) face, (200) face, (111) face, (130) face, (310) face and (330) face/(400) face. Further, the intensity of X-ray reflection I (cps) on plural crystal faces caused by the periodicity of the cavity structure specific to mordenite, namely on all of (110) face, (020) face, (200) face and (111) face is increased by >=4% than the intensity of X-ray reflection of mordenite not modified on the same crystal faces, namely (110) face, (020) face, (200) face and (111) face. |
