PURPOSE:To improve the brightness of display and to make clear the outline of the display spot, by arranging focusing lenses at each position corresponding with the discharge point on the surface of a substrate at the viewing side. CONSTITUTION:A pair of glass substrates 1, 2 are arranged while facing each other through a discharge glass space 3. X-electrode group 4, dielectric material layer 5, Y-electrode group 6, dielectric material layer 7 and a surface insulator layer 8 are formed sequentially on the surface of the glass substrate 1 at the under side. Phosphor material layers 9 are formed on the inside face of the upper side glass substrate 2 at the viewing side in correspondence with each discharge point P1, P2 constituted with the electrode conductor pair 4, 6. A focusing lens 10 is arranged at the position corresponding with each phosphor material layer on the outside surface of the upper side glass substrate 2. |
