PURPOSE:To eliminate exclusive driving means for feeding of an additive by pressing the additive against the bottom of concave part of casting wheel of a rotary caster. CONSTITUTION:With the rotation of a casting wheel 4, an additive 11 pressed against the bottom of a concave part 4A of the casting wheel 4 by a pair of pinch rollers energized by a cylinder is pulled by rotating force of the casting wheel 4 and drawn out of a drum 12. The additive then moves, while bending and deforming, along the bottom of a concave part 4A of the casting wheel 4, and is immersed in molten metal 7 in a mold 9 and is melted in the metal 7 by the heat. Thus, the additive is pushed forward by rotating force of the casting wheel and consequently, no driving source is necessary for feeding the additive. |
