PURPOSE:To provide a sealing member which is constituted so that the reversal detection inspection of a lip part is correctly carried out. CONSTITUTION:A sealing member 1 consists of a contact part 4 on the outer peripheral side, lip part 5 on the inner peripheral side, and a connection part 6 for connecting the contact part 4 and the lip part 5. On the outer periphery of the lip part 5, a ring-shaped spring 8 for press-attaching the lip part 5 to the outer periphery of a shaft 3 is fitted, and on the outside surface of the top edge part 7 of the lip part 5, semispherical projections 9 are arranged at equal intervals over the whole periphery. The part between the projections 9 is formed to a passage 10 for discharging the air pressure when the lip part 5 is reversed to the inside by the insertion of the shaft 3. The inner periphery of the lip part 5 has a sealing part 11 projecting inside and a sublip part 12 which is inclined below the sealing part 11, and a solid type lubricating layer 13 is covering-formed on the whole periphery on the surface of the sealing part 11. |
