PURPOSE:To simplify considerably the process for manufacturing a model and to reduce the time for the manufacture by curing the master mold of a model formed by joining a boss mold and a mother mold of vane then removing the master mold of the mold from a clay master mold and forming the same into a prescribed shape. CONSTITUTION:An oil clay mold 1 has pitch surfaces 1A conforming to the rotating direction, number of vanes and pitch of a pattern propeller to be cast in the upper part thereof and the lower part thereof is formed to a circular cylindrical body. A resin material kneaded plastically workably is packed in the recesses of mother molds of vanes and after leveling off, the material is removed and the mother molds of vanes 18 are manufactured by a prescribed number of vanes. The mold 1 is then placed on a base 2, and a shaft 3 is inserted into a shaft inserting part 1C. A boss mold 14 is mounted thereto with the front end 14A thereof faced upward. After the mother mold 18 are disposed on the surfaces 1A, the resin material is replenished as a joining part into the spaces between the mold 14 and the respective mother molds 18, thereby forming a master mold 19 of a model. Such mold is rested for a prescribed time to cure the resin material and thereafter the mold 19 is removed from the mold and is cut to a prescribed shape with a propeller cutter. Such mold is used as a model for casting the pattern propeller. |
