This device ensures the retention and insulation of electrical conductors 3, 4 grouped in pairs and overlaid inside slots 1 of "half-closed" or "closed" type formed in the lamination pack 2 of the rotor. Retention strips 5, 6, 7, 8 made of an insulating material and extending parallel to the axis of the rotor are engaged partially in longitudinal grooves 9, 10, 11 hollowed out in the walls of each slot 1 and in the notch 12 through which this slot opens to the outside. Through their parts which are not housed in the grooves and the notch, the strips 5, 6, 7, 8 come into contact with the two conductors 3, 4 so as to position them individually, whilst holding them at a distance from the walls of the slot 1 and maintaining a clearance 13 between these two conductors.
