PURPOSE:To perform the movement of the material to be worked without waiting time efficiently and quickly by temporarily separating a striker and punch at the ascending time of a striker and by moving the material to be worked with detecting thier re-contact thereafter. CONSTITUTION:A punch 1 punches the material 15 to be worked with the descent of a ram 11. The punch 1 is pushed up by a strong stripping spring 9 according to the ascent of the arm 11 which was at the bottom dead center after completion of the punching and is ascended until hitting the shoulder part of the guide 7. The punch 1 hit the shoulder part is then ascended with the guide 7. The lifting speed of the guide 7 at the lifting starting time is smaller, compared to the ram 11 having the prescribed lifting speed due to the force of a lifter spring 21 being weaker compared with the force of the stripping spring 9. The separation of the striker 13 and punch head 1-2 is therefore caused once and after the lapse of some time the ram 11 and head part 1-2 come into contact again. This contact is detected by a detecting device 19 and with the movement command signal of the material to be worked of NC control part the succeeding punching work of the material to be worked is passed into.
