PURPOSE:To manufacture continuously a long-sized and thin-walled pipe by continuously feeding a thin steel-sheet and overlapping its both ends to join together by electric-resistance welding. CONSTITUTION:A long-sized thin steel-sheet 6 for a thin-walled pipe obtained by continuously cutting a thin steel-sheet stock 5 into a fixed width by a cutter 4 is fed in the direction A by feeding rolls 8, and is wound at a 45-90 deg. winding angle with respect to the feeding direction A so that both ends 6a, 6b of the sheet 6 overlap each other, and is formed into a thin-walled pipe shape. These overlapped parts of both ends are welded together by an electric-resistance welder 10 into a thin-walled pipe 9, which is accurately wound out by a pipe supporting device 13 and is guided to the direction B. When the pipe 9 reaches a prescribed length, the pipe 9 is cut by a rotary cutter 23 while moving a cutter frame 21 in the direction B at the same speed as that of the pipe 9 to manufacture a long-sized, thin-walled pipe of prescribed length.
