<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the outbreak of secondary pollution by feeding high- temperature air into the container containing the broken pieces of a waste fluorescent lamp and by carrying out, in the closed system, the process by which the fed air is cooled and the dust is collected. CONSTITUTION:The broken pieces of a waste fluorescent lamp are put into a receiving container 10, said pieces are stirred by a stirrer 12 and the high- temperature air heated by an electric heater 14 is fed into the container vir a fan 16. Phosphorescent substance, glass, etc., are removed by passing the high-temperature fed air through a pre-duster 18, thereafter said air is cooled by being passed through coolers 20, 22 to condense and collect mercury, then further introduced into a variable-volume gas holder 28 via a blower 16 and this circuit is maintained in a closed system by absorbing the expansion and contraction of the air.</p> |
