PURPOSE:To stop a control object shaft to a constant position in the same way even when a pulse generating device is linked so as to rotate in the same direction to a motor and even when it is linked so as to rotate in the opposite direction by changing over optionally the output level of a rotating direction discrimianting circuit and adding it to a counter circuit by a conditions selecting means. CONSTITUTION:When a motor 1 is rotated to a normal rotating side and a constant position stopping command is inputted, the speed is reduced up to a creeping speed while the motor 1 is normally rotated. On the other hand, a PLG 19 for detecting a position outputs the pulse of the phase higher than an A phase and a B phase, and a pulse generating device direction discriminating circuit 20 outputs the signal of a level '1' in accordance with these phase relations. Since the signal of a level '0' of a conditions setting device 29 is applied to a level interting circuit 30, the signal of the level '1' outputted from the pulse generating device direction discriminating circuit 20 is changed to the level '0' and applied to the U/D terminal of a counter circuit 22. Consequently, when the counter circuit 22 starts the counting-down and a switch 15 is closed, the motor 1 reduces the speed as it does and a final shaft can be stopped to a constant position by a final stopping position.
