摘要 PURPOSE:To enhance heat transportation ability of a capillary tube container of a turn near a terminal by controlling temperature of a surge tank at the time of operation of a heat pipe at a temperature lower than critical temperature of a working liquid and also at a temperature higher than the upper limit temperature of an applicable temperature range of a capillary heat pipe. CONSTITUTION:A small-sized surge tank 3 is disposed at a terminal of an end turn 1-1 of a non-loop type trombone capillary tube container 1. The temperature of the tank 3 is controlled by a temperature control means 4-1 at a temperature lower than critical temperature of a working liquid and also at a temperature higher than the upper limit temperature of an applicable temperature range of a capillary heat pipe. Consequently, the working liquid having penetrated into the tank 3 does not exist any longer as it is, and hence the interior of the tank 3 is always filled with vapor 2-3 of the working liquid. Through the compressibility of the working liquid vapor 2-3 in the tank 3, the working liquid actively vibrates in an axial direction in the container 1-1 of the heat pipe, causing thereby sufficient heat transportation in a manner similar to other turn part.
