PURPOSE: To minimize the vibration of a cylindrical sleeve under the influence of the pressurized flow of air by providing a cylindrical printing part, the cylindrical sleeve for supporting the printing part and a noise attenuation means based on the sleeve expansion effect due to the pressurized flow of air. CONSTITUTION: When a sleeve 42 inside a blanket 20 is expanded over a rubber cylinder 14, a pressurized flow of air between the outer surface 48 of the rubber cylinder 14 and the inner surface 46 of the sleeve 42 generates vibrations in the sleeve 42. In turn, the vibrations of the sleeve 42 generate noise, so that the blanket 20 has a means to attenuate the noise, and the means is composed of a noise attenuator of the vibration attenuation ring 120 type. The damping ring 120 is assembled onto the inner surface 46 of the sleeve 42, and damps vibrations of the sleeve 42 to be caused by the pressurized flow of air between the outer surface 48 and the inner surface 46. Thus the damping ring 120 damps noise to the noise level which is permissible by working crew working with an operating unit 10. |
