2,2-Dimethyl-3-chromanol derivatives of formula: <IMAGE> in which R1 represents hydrogen or a hydroxyl group and Z represents a cyano, phosphono or dialkoxyphosphoryl group, and the pharmaceutically acceptable salts of a phosphono group have remarkable pharmacological activities and a low toxicity and can be used in pharmaceutical compositions for treating cardiovascular, gastrointestinal or respiratory disorders.
