It is characterised in that instead of the light source 2 being, with the optic 5, situated on the same side of the dial: - the light source 2 and the optic 5 are arranged on the same axis 20, each on an opposite side 21, 22 of the dial 4 and, - the dial 4 is, in the zone swept by the moving marks for the time, such as hands, at least locally perforated so as to allow the light rays emitted by the source 2 to pass through them, the said rays later passing through the optic 5 before being projected onto the surface.
