PURPOSE:To form an arm very thin and light and enhance the operating easiness by converging a laser beam to a hollow wave-guide pipe by a concave mirror, and transmitting the laser beam in this wave-guide pipe in interactive reflexions. CONSTITUTION:A pair of reflex mirrors 7, 8 are incorporated in No.1 joint 2. The plain mirror 7 and concave mirror 8 are fixed inside a mirror box 2a and another 2b, respectively, both at an angle of 45 deg. to the optical axis of the laser beam. Laser beam emitted from a laser oscillation device 1 is reflected at a right angle by the plain mirror 7, and reflected at a right angle by the concave mirror 8 while converging, so as to converge at the end of No.1 wave guide pipe 6 to be incident thereinto. While reflected interactively, the laser beam is transmitted to the other end of the wave guide pipe 6. The range 0.3<=d/D<=0.8 provides good transmission rate, where D is inside dia. of wave guide pipe, and d is dia. of laser beam. |
