PURPOSE:To obtain a spring with a large stroke length further with large rigidity by forming a diameter of the spring in its axial line direction smaller than the diameter in a direction at a right angle with this axial line direction. CONSTITUTION:A coil spring 10 for a damper specifies its center axial line 38 by a circular arc constituting one part of a reference circle with a center axial line 40 of a spline hub 14 serving as the center. A section of an element wire of the damper coil spring 10 forms an oval shape with the inner side having a major axis (a) in an inner side direction and a minor axis (b) in the vertical direction, and the outer side part is a circle having a radius (b). In the sectional shape, because a diameter in the axial line direction is smaller than a diameter in a direction at a right angle with the axial line direction, a sufficient sectional part is provided in the inside, and a part, applying the largest stress, is reinforced. |
