Fuel tank with two interconnected spaces

In a fuel tank comprising two tank spaces (14,16) provided at a distance from one another and connected to one another at a distance above their bottom, one tank space (16) is equipped with a retaining vessel (26) provided on the bottom of the tank space around the end of the fuel pump suction line (28). So that both tank spaces (14, 16) are reliably emptied, each tank space is equipped with a jet pump (36, 38) charged with fuel via a distributor (34) supplied by a fuel return line (30). Both jet pumps deliver to the retaining vessel (26). For this purpose, the jet pumps can be in parallel as shown or in series (Fig.2) with one another.
