A device is described for instantaneous fastening of a folding-press tool on its toolholder, allowing its positioning and removal from the front of the machine without having to move adjacent tools. It comprises a clamp 6 articulated around a longitudinal shaft 7, which clamp has a shield 9 on which the projection of the tool, which has a suitable shape, engages. After the tool has been engaged, it is pushed from its equilibrium position backwards, causing the clamp (flange) to rotate through the contact of the surfaces 21 and 22, which actuates a locking cam 12 which grips the clamp on the tool in the working position. In order to release the tool, it suffices to manoeuvre the cam; the tool is then coupled and can be removed by rotation to the front. The invention may be used to couple or immobilize all suspended components or components constructed on a support. Figure 3. <IMAGE>
