PURPOSE:To enable the accurate detection of a neutral position by obtaining a ratio RS = (engine speed)/(speed), and judging a gear position to be in a neutral position when this RS value exceeds the maximum value of the gear ratio set width at the time of the separately set gear position P. CONSTITUTION:There are provided a speed detecting means 10 to know the speed, an engine speed detecting means 20 to know the engine speed, and an intake pressure detecting means 40 to know the intake pressure. Each detection signal is inputted into a control means 30 through an interface 50. In this control means 30, 'the engine speed/speed' is obtained from the speed signal of the speed detecting means 10 and the engine speed signal of the engine speed detecting means 20, compared with the maximum value G(P)max of the gear ratio set width at the time of the gear position P preset by calculation. When 'the engine speed/speed' is larger than G(P)max, the gear position is judged to be in a neutral position, and its result is displayed by a display means 60. |
