The deformation device (50) hhas axially and/or radially neighbouring sections. They pliably rotate relative to each other when torque is transmitted. This moment is converted into amplified axial movement by pivoted levers (4a) applied to the circumference. This axial movement is used as a measure for the transmitted torque. The levers are forked with their prongs (40a,41a) touching one or the other of the sections. The fork handle (43a) is linked to the pick-up ring (5). The deformation device, levers and pick-up ring are stamped metal parts. At least one lever is additionally stamped or embossed and joined to the sections and ring by welding or soldering. ADVANTAGE - Can be mass produced.
