The rectangular plywood frame (2) for chairs, tables etc, has rounded corners (3), and consists of two U-shaped half-frames (12,14) joined together. The corners (3) are in the form of outward bulges (4) sticking out from the two opposite-facing sides (6,8) of the frame by a set amount for ease of stacking. The inner radius of the rounded corners is at least 12 millimetres. The outside of the corners or bulges has cavities (20,24) into which fit legs (22,26) of matching cross-section. The legs are fixed by means of filler-blocks (28) and screws screwed from inside through the blocks and the frame into the legs inserted into the cavities. ADVANTAGE - The frame for a table or chair is more stable and can take variously shaped legs.
