PURPOSE:To miniaturize a handset, to make it light weight, and to dispense with the holding of a telephone set when it is used by separating a radio equipment main body from the handset, and forming the handset with a microphone and an earphone connected to the radio equipment main body with a cord. CONSTITUTION:A battery case 25 is mounted loadably/unloadably on the lover part of a long lengthwise box type radio equipment main body 1 via a guide rail 23 and a recessed groove 24, and a recessed groove 27 is provided on the upper part of the rear plane of the main body, in which a connector 28 is fitted loadably/unloadably. The cord 29 is connected to the connector 28, and the microphone 30 and the earphone 31 are connected to the cord 29, also, an antenna 4 is mounted on the upper part of the main body 1 ahich can extend and contract freely. This portable telephone set can be used by inserting the main body 1 to the pocket of a user, loading the earphone 31 on the ear, and suspending the microphone 30 via the cord 29. In such a way, it is possible to miniaturize the handset, to make it light weight, and to dispense with the holding of the handset by separating the handset from the radio equipment main body. |
