PURPOSE:To obtain an agent for promoting resistance of a plant to pathogenic microbe, having high safety and capable of effectively utilizing the intrinsic prophylactic function of the plant against pathogenic microbes to prevent the damage of the plant by the pathogenic microbes. CONSTITUTION:This agent for promoting resistance of a plant to pathogenic microbe contains a phytoalexin obtained from cultured safflower cell and a substance to induce the production of a phylactic substance against pathogenic microbes such as polysaccharides, heat-treated molds, algae, their cell wall or their water-extract. |
