PURPOSE:To improve removing action on excessive water by using a cement admixture consisting essentially of at least one component having hydrolyzing action selected from the group composed of a silane polymer or a silane compound and a hydrolyzable silane derivative. CONSTITUTION:This cement admixture consists essentially of at least one a component having hydrolyzability e.g. methoxysilane, ethoxysilane or butoxysilane or a silane polymer obtained by partially hydrolyzing the alkoxysilane and a hydrolyzable silane derivative such as an alkylsilanol, a cyclic or straight-chain siloxane. The component having hydrolyzability is reacted with excessive water existing in >= a required amount to reduce the excessive water and forms a stable hardened substance. A cement blend comprising cement, an aggregate, etc., is mixed with <= about 0.5wt.% based on the cement of this cement admixture and optionally <= about 1.0wt.% of a high- performance water reducing agent, an AE reducing agent and a superplasticizer to give a hydraulic cement composition. |
