PURPOSE:To almost completely control and exterminate insect pests of lawn grass difficult to destroy with an agrochemical, etc., by using foams of a pollution-free surfactant composition without exerting a bad influence on the environment. CONSTITUTION:A pollution-free surfactant composition comprising an anionic sulfonate, a 8-30C higher fatty acid and its salt and a thickening agent, having 0.2-50wt.% of total solid content concentration and high safety is directly foamed by a foaming device or diluted with water and foamed and sprayed upon the surface of lawn grass to control and exterminate insect pests of lawn grass.
