PURPOSE:To surely fix the position of a surgical operating means by providing a surgical appliance with a locking means at its front end or near the front end. CONSTITUTION:This surgical appliance (forceps) is used mainly in under- laparoscope operation and is composed of a long-sized appliance body 2, an operating part on the base end side of this appliance body 2, a long-sized transmitting member 6 for connecting the front end 3 and the operating part, a locking means 7 which is disposed at the front end 4 or near this part and an unlocking means 8 for unlocking the locking means 7. The appliance body 2 is a long-sized hollow member formed with a space part 21 capable of internally housing the transmitting member 6, etc. A screwing part to be screwed to the front end 3 is formed at its front end. A surgical operating means 4, an energizing means consisting of a first coil spring 5 and part of the locking means 7 and a part of the unlocking means 8 are installed at the front end 3. The locking means 7 fixes the opening posture of this surgical operating means 4, i.e., the opening angle of a movable clamping means 42 by prohibiting the longitudinal movement of the transmitting means 6. |
