PURPOSE:To easily decide a timing for performing prefetching by prefetching second data from the second storage position of a memory by read first data and supplying the held second data to a processor for executing an instruction when the read of the second data is requested. CONSTITUTION:The prefetching is performed as the second data from the second storage position of the memory determined by the first data read from a main memory 700 in a prefetching circuit 300 and tentative storage in a prefetch buffer provided inside the prefetching circuit 300 is performed. Thereafter, when a loading instruction for requesting the read of the second data is executed by a CPU 610, the held second data inside a block are supplied through a processor interface circuit 200 and a cache control circuit 630 to the CPU 610. Thus, the timing for performing the prefetching is easily decided. |
