PURPOSE:To provide an inexpensive air purifier fitted with a deodorizing device adapted to the deodorizing of a room, not emitting a substance harmful to a human body and reduced in space constituted so that a heater having a deodorizing catalyst coating layer composed of an adsorbing type thermal decomposition catalyst is arranged in an air purifier and the supply of a current to the heater is controlled by a control circuit to activate the deodorizing catalyst coating layer. CONSTITUTION:In an air purifier 1 deodorizing a malodorous component in air by bringing air into contact with a deodorizing device by using a ventilation fan 5, the deodorizing device is a deodorizing heater 7 having a deodorizing catalyst coating layer composed of an adsorbing type thermal decomposition catalyst provided to the whole or a part of the surface of the effective heating part thereof. |
