PURPOSE:When a half-tone display is made on an image display panel with a binary memory, a flicker is normally not felt with the eye so much but becomes easy to feel with high luminance, this is one of factors of picture quality deterioration. CONSTITUTION:This method is a driving method for the memory panel equipped with the binary memory. When the half-tone display is made by displaying a binarized one-field image F by dividing the image into plural subfield images(SF) from the MSB(most significant digit bit) to the LSB(least significant digit bit) showing the gradations of the image, time arrangement which is not in accordance with the bit array from the MSB to the LSB is employed as the time arrangement of the writing of the respective SFs. |
