A time totaling meter and a unit thereof for internal combustion engines comprising a part (3) of an ignition device to lead ignition pulses toward outside of the ignition device, pulse induction means (4) coupled to receive by electromagnet induction said ignition pulses, waveform shaping means (5) to shape these electromagnetically induced pulses, and judging means (6) to determine whether these waveform shaped output pulses are derived from operation of the internal combustion engine or not, and count memory means (7) capable of counting and storing total, operation time of the internal combustion engine from initial operation thereof based on said output pulses selected by said judging means and displaying this counted operation time on display means 8. <IMAGE>
