VSB (vestigial side band) filter for HDTV, consists of an A/D converter that converts the base band signal that is locked the frequency and the phase into the I and Q channel signal divisionally; a filter means that executes the SRC (Square root raied cosine) filter relating to the I and Q channel signal; and a subtraction means that output the VSB filtered I channel according to subtracting the output signal from the filter means.
