The apparatus includes an electrostatic discharge arrangement as well as brushes (14,15) for brushing off and sucking up charged dirt and dust particles. The brushes are adjustable in their position with respect to the film (1) or tape. Each brush is mounted on a revolving segment (17) which can be fixed in different pivotal positions, preferably through a spring-loaded pin (17c). The electrostatic discharge arrangement provides ionization members (12,13) which run across the film.
