The invention relates to a stopper-rod structure (2) with a metal stopper rod (1) on which said structure is mounted, and a device for connection of the stopper-rod structure (2) to the stopper rod (1). Said structure has a metal adapter insert which is introduced from the top end surface (4) into the material of the stopper-rod structure, and which is provided with an inner thread (11) for screwing in the stopper rod (1) provided with an external thread (20), and into which inner thread (11) the stopper rod is turned. The metal determined for the adapter insert (10) has a coefficient of thermal expansion which virtually does not deviate from the stopper-rod structure. Said structure also has a nut (17) which is screwed against the adapter insert, with the stopper rod (1) to act as a counter nut, and has a supporting hollow mandrel (16) which forms the end section of the stopper rod, below the adapter insert.
