PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve color purity and a color reproducing property by making respective vertices of a triangle shown on a color coordinate of three colors transmission light transmitting through a color filter of a light emitting source the sides of the color purity higher than respective vertices of the triangle shown on the color coordinate of the three colors transmission light transmitting through the color filter of a CIE.C light source. SOLUTION: In a liquid crystal display device provided with plural optical shutters 2 controlling transmission light quantity, a color filter 1 having color elements of three colors red, green, blue corresponding to plural optical shutters 2 and the light emitting source, the light emitting source is the same having steep light emission spectra in respective wavelength bands corresponding to the color elements of three colors red, green, blue. Then, respective vertices of the triangle shown on the color coordinate of the three colors transmission light transmitting through the color filter 1 of the light emitting source are made the sides of the color purity higher than respective vertices of the triangle shown on the color coordinate of the three colors transmission light transmitting through the color filter of the CIE.C light source. |
