PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the high detection ability of low-speed blood stream by surely and sufficiently reducing the influence of transient response caused by the discontinuity or rapid change of data at the time origin of a Doppler data string. SOLUTION: This color Doppler type ultrasonic diagnostic system is provided with MTI filtering parts 45A and 45B for filtering a clutter component from the Doppler data string detected through the transmission/reception of ultrasonic signals. The MTI filtering parts 45A and 45B are respectively provided with high-pass filters(HPF) and initial data cut circuits. Between the MTI filtering part 45A (45B) and a converter 43A (43B) for the A/D conversion of Doppler signals, a transient response measure part 44A (44B) is interposed for suppressing the influence component (high frequency component) of the transient response contained in the output signal of the HPF because of either discontinuity or rapid change at least of data at the time origin of the Doppler data string. This measure part is provided with taper processing or extrapolating processing singly or while suitably combining a fixed value subtraction circuit.
