PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compsn. and a method for lubricating 2-cycle engines. SOLUTION: A lubricant compsn. suitable for lubricating 2-cycle engines contains an oil (A) having a lubricating viscosity, about 0.2wt.% to about 10wt.% polymer (B) which is soluble in the compsn. and has a number average mol.wt. higher than 50,000, 0 to about 10wt.% olefin polymer (C) having a number average mol.wt. of up to 500, and about 10wt.% to about 95wt.% flammable solvent (D) which is other than the oil (A) having a lubricating viscosity, has a flash point lower than about 105 deg.C, and can dissolve all the other ingredients A, B and C. |
