PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive powder heat resistant alloy having high temp. strength by using an atomizing method capable of mass production. SOLUTION: As for the method for producing an oxide dispersed type heat resistant alloy, at the time of subjecting powder of an Fe base, an Ni base and a Co base contg. one or >= two kinds among Zr and rare earth elements such as Y, Ce, La or the like by 0.05 to 3.00% in total and >=15% Cr and of a Cr base contg. >=60% Cr subjected to gas atomizing by argon or nitrogen or argon or nitrogen contg. oxygen by <=5 volume% to compacting by methods such as rolling, forging, HIP or hot extrusion, the grain size of the powder to be used is limited to <=110μm, by which it contains 0.02 to 0.5% oxygen after the compacting.
