A safety device for vehicles, adaptable to various applications, having a Backing Safety System, a School Bus "Stop Sign Arm" Safety System, a Driver Safety System, and a Technician Lift, Dump, Tailgate, and Hydraulic Cylinder Safety System. Each system is based on the same circuit path, which includes a switch terminal responsive to normal vehicle operations, an input terminal to receive current from the switch terminal, a transformer, a voltage selector, an automatic controller which compares voltage with preselected data and generates an output, a sound chip emitting a sound signal response, and an amplifier . Various fuses are dispersed throughout the safety device to prevent system degradation. A speaker mounted outside the vehicle transmits the amplified sound signal, in the form or an audio message, to those both inside and outside the vehicle.
