<p>A modular scale (10) with a 'U' shaped frame (14) which includes a base (28) with a pair of legs (30) extending from the base, and where the base and legs support a rigid, detachable, weighing platform (12). Each leg has a foot (32) which projects toward the other. A support assembly (16) is contained in each corner of the base, and in each foot, for measuring weight. A display (36) in the base indicates the weight and can be seen through a window (24) in the weighing platform. The frame has a central open area (33) which allows legs from other frames to be placed therein for shipping. The frame is made from plastic and has a ribbed construction to make it light-weight.</p> |
