PURPOSE:To improve the shelf stability of a radiographic film of a screen-film photographing system by incorporating a specified polyol into the film. CONSTITUTION:A radiographic image is formed with a screen-film photographing system consisting of a radiographic film (A) having red sensitivity and a radiation intensifying screen (B) for sensitization in the red region. The film A contains a polyol having >=40 deg.C m.p. and two or more hydroxyl groups, e.g., 1,14-tetradecane diol in a silver halide emulsion layer or a layer adjacent to the emulsion layer. The film A also contains a emitting red light such as a phosphor contg. Eu. The polyol in the film A reduces unevenness in image quality due to a change of the film with the lapse of time. |
