PURPOSE:To allow highly accurate direct measurement of beam intensity distribution by idling a laser unit with a preliminary exciting pulse while moving a detecting section at a constant period and then oscillating a pulse laser with a signal synchronized with the constant period at the detecting section with a predetermined time lag. CONSTITUTION:A measuring instrument 1 equipped with a pin hole 2 rotating at high speed is connected with a laser beam analyzing system 3 equipped with a computor. A pulse generator 4 imparts a predetermined time lag to a signal synchronized with the rotational period of the pin hole. The pulse generator 4 delivers a predetermined pulse signal to a laser unit (beam generating/controlling unit) 5. The function for idling the laser unit 5 is provided for the signal delivered from the pulse generator 4 or for the laser unit 5 itself. This method allows highly accurate direct measurement of the beam intensity distribution of pulse laser. |
