ELECTRODE PLATE FOR LEAD-ACID BATTERY AND ITS PRODUCTION EQUIPMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production equipment capable of producing an electrode plate for a lead-acid battery with less dispersion of the shape and arrangement of a rhombic grid. SOLUTION: The production equipment has a net working machine 39 for forming slits of a plurality of strips at the same time, intermittently and zigzag arrangement into a belt-shaped metallic sheet 2 along the length direction, and an expanding machine 40 for forming slits in a rhombic net shape, by expanding the metal sheet 2 in the width direction. The expanding machine 40 has two endless conveyers 44 arranged on both sides in the width direction of the metal sheet 2, many chuck members 47 arranged at constant intervals in the endless conveyers 44, and a center guide 91 which guides the central part in the width direction of the metal sheet 2 toward one side in the thickness direction of the metal sheet 2 and conveys the metal sheet 2. The chuck members 47 grip the side ends in the width direction of the metal sheet in which the slits are formed and expand the metal sheet 2 conveyed with the endless conveyer 44.
