PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent a user from inadvertently viewing a laser beam when a disk lid is held open. SOLUTION: When the disk lid is opened, a detecting switch 4 turns off, thereby impressing an L level through a diode D1 and a resistor R2 to the base of a TR 11 and the TR 11 goes off. When the TR 11 is off, voltage Vcc as an H level is impressed through a resistor R4 to the base of a TR 12 and the TR 12 goes off. Then, a TR 7 connected to the base with the collector of the TR 12 goes off as well and a device 8 for laser control is put into the state of disabling the irradiation with the laser beam by an optical pickup 3. |
