FIELD: transportation of oil, gas or other products. SUBSTANCE: method consists in receiving electromagnetic waves outside the pipe line and locating the point of break of pipe line. Innovation of invention consists in supply of AC voltage to ends of pipe line at frequency corresponding to generation of electromagnetic waves at length of wave close to size of assumed break or diameter of pipe line.
