FIELD: drying of materials in electric field. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has electrode system and power source, with material to be dried being positive electrode of electrode system and set of pointed objects being negative electrode. Pointed objects are made from semiconducting material and arranged in center of current-conductive grid cells. Grid is connected with positive electrode. Grid cell size is a, distance from grid to material surface is b, distance from points of pointed objects to material surface is d, length of pointed object body is C. Values mentioned are correlated as: b=3a, c=d=2a. Power source voltage exceeds (1-1.5). 10 V, average field intensity in zone adjacent to material surface is (0.4 - 1).10 V/m.
