DEVICE FOR MACHINING END OF PLANAR WORK CONTINUOUSLY MOVING

PURPOSE: To execute a complicate machining step of an end of a continuously moving workpiece in a short route by inclining guiding directions of first and second linear guides at an opposite angles by the intersected and arranged first and second guides. CONSTITUTION: A tool unit 7 is fixed to a guide unit 8. The unit 8 has first and second linear guides 9, 10 inclined at an intersecting guiding direction in a moving direction of a workpiece 2. A first guide rail 11 for mounting the unit 7 at a free end is supported longitudinally movably at a rail carriage 12 in the guide 9. The carriage 12 is longitudinally movable on a second guide rail 13 for forming the guide 10. The second rail 13 in the guide 10 is fixed to a frame of through-feed machine by a support block 14. When a rotary tool 6 machines a front end of the workpiece 2, the carriage 12 on the second rail 13 of the guide 10 slides upward in a through-feed direction of the workpiece 2 to prevent displacement of a stop bar 16.
