BIDIRECTIONAL DATA TRANSFERRING METHOD AND DEVICE THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for combining a bidirectional IEEE1394 bus link layer IC so as to form a bidirectional data transfer function for a bus interface representing only one IEEE1394 bus node. SOLUTION: In this method, a single physical layer IC is connected to an IEEE1394 bus cable and also allocated to a 1st link layer IC1 for data input and a 2nd link layer IC2 for data output and additionally for data input. The 1st and 2nd link layers IC1 and IC2 are both assigned to the same application equipment APP. The 1st and 2nd link layers IC1 and ICE, the physical layer IC PU1 interposed between the 1st and 2nd link layers IC1 and ICE, and application equipment APP are all controlled by a single microcontrollerμP.
