PRODUCTION OF MOUTH PLUG HAVING GAS BARRIER PROPERTIES

PURPOSE:To facilitate tearing by injecting a molten resin into a cavity by temporarily stopping mold clamping and covering the thin-walled fragile line forming part of a gas barrier film with the injected molten resin to heat the same and stretching the softened film by a V-shape projection to form a thin- walled fragile line. CONSTITUTION:An inner lower mold 120 having a V-shape projection 121 for forming a thin-walled fragile line 331 provided to the upper edge peripheral part thereof is combined with an outer lower mold 111 through a vacuum groove 111 in a state lowered by the quantity corresponding to the projection 121 to constitute a lower mold 100. A gas barrier film 320 is mounted on the lower mold 100 under vacuum and the lower mold 100 and an upper mold 200 are clamped to be temporarily stopped and a molten resin is injected in a cavity 500 so as to cover the film 320 to heat and soften the film 320. The molds 100,200 are again clamped and the inner lower mold 120 is raised while the molten resin is injected and the film 320 is stretched to form a thin-walled fragile line 331. Therefore, the cutting of the film 320 at the time of use is well and cutting residue can be eliminated.
